"The Gifted Guru" Visit

GT Academy parents are invited to spend an evening with Lisa Van Gemert, the "Gifted Guru" to learn about perfectionism in gifted students. You will leave with practical strategies you can implement right away. This parent-only event will be held in the PJHW library on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 @ 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Lisa works with gifted youth, their parents, and educators around the world. She has been a teacher, school administrator, the Youth & Education Ambassador for Mensa. In addition to being a highly sought-after keynote speaker at gifted conferences and an expert consult to television shows, she is the author of "Perfectionism: A Practical Guide to Never Good Enough," Living Gifted: 52 Tips to Survive and Thrive in Giftedland," and "Gifted Guild's Guide to Depth and Complexity." Lisa visited the GT Academy in 2019, and we are excited to have her back in Pearland!
